JET marks 10th Anniversary with Dinner and Awards ceremony
2021 marks JET’s 10th anniversary year, and it was wonderful to welcome so many of our corporate & military partners to RAF Coningsby last week to celebrate this significant milestone for JET.
It was poignant too to share the evening with so many of our JET volunteers, patrons, trustees, staff, ambassadors and students, past and present, and of course the many fundraising supporters and friends of JET who work tirelessly to advocate on our behalf.
During the evening (15th October 2021) we announced the winners of our annual JET Awards; each recognising the outstanding contributions and positive impact made by organisations and individuals on the young people we support.
This year’s JET Award winners were:-
Team of the Year Award: This was given to one of JET’s corporate partners QinetiQ for their continued commitment to JET and involvement in our programmes.
Team of the Year Award: This was awarded to one of JET’s corporate partners for QinetiQ for their continued commitment to JET and involvement in our programmes. Congratulations to Jane Mercer, Director of Programmes – Air who collected the award on the night.
Volunteer of the Year Award: This was awarded to the inspirational Stu Little and was richly deserved recognition for his tireless and dedicated work with our students in the Southwest. Stu works for JET’s corporate partner NATS and has been an inspirational volunteer since the early days of JET.
Unsung Hero(es) of Year Award: This award recognised our partnership with teachers Dominic Stannard and Daniel Hudson from Marshland High School in Norfolk. The teaching duo worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure that the positive impact of JET’s programmes was still felt by their students despite the challenges of remote delivery.
