I’m Chloe, the Youth Liaison Officer for Norfolk. I joined the team in September 2019. In my role, I will work with young people and local RAF partners to deliver the Outreach and Blue Skies Inspire sessions.
Whilst studying Applied Theatre and Education at university, I gained experience delivering workshops in a variety of settings, including schools, community groups, and museums. The most significant moments, for me, were where participants developed skills which would better enable them to realise their full potential. Facilitating these opportunities is a passion I share with the Jon Egging Trust, which is what initially drew me to the charity.
I am particularly excited to be part of the Jon Egging Trust in the area I grew up, where the opportunities the charity provide are invaluable. The Trust has exceeded the goal to reach 10,000 young people nationally by 2020, which demonstrates the drive and commitment of the staff, volunteers, and participants. I am incredibly honoured to be welcomed into the team and look forward to seeing JET expand in Norfolk.
My primary interest is exploring ways of supporting people to be positive and engaged members of their community. The programmes I will help deliver develop leadership, teamwork, and confidence, which are essential aptitudes for responsible citizens. I am eager to support the development of young people and RAF volunteers, and hope that the programmes will help engage and inspire young people to become responsible leaders.
