Nicola Ingamells

Regional Youth Programmes Manager Lincolnshire

I am incredibly excited to be a part of such a passionate team of individuals, who all share with great belief that young people should be supported to be the best that they can be. As The Jon Egging Trust Youth Liaison Officer for South Lincolnshire, I have the honour, along with our partners and volunteers, of working closely with young people on our Blue Skies programmes, to help guide their journey of self-discovery and opportunity. The Inspirational Outreach work will also look to inspire many more young people and raise aspirations.

As a PE Teacher with 12 years experience of working with young people from 4-18 years of age, I am fully committed and hold a great belief in supporting the growth of the whole person. Embedded in my practice has always been to seek opportunities (both small and large) for personal, social, emotional and physical growth. The Jon Egging Trust Blue Skies and Inspirational Outreach programmes fully support the development of the softer skills required to develop the positive learning habits which ultimately impact upon all areas of development.

Life can be difficult for a lot of individuals for a multitude of reasons; which often lead to barriers and habits that are hard to break down alone. Our programs recognize our ability and need as humans to develop the resilience, reciprocity, resourcefulness and reflectiveness that can help guide us to have more positive experiences and direction. With the support of inspiring individuals and exciting experiences, our young people truly are given the opportunities to engage with who they are and who they want to be. This is a journey I am delighted to be on with them.
