Shoot for the stars

JET to Space is a competition for young people age 11-13 who are struggling to thrive at school due to low confidence or personal challenge.

Entry is via teachers / schools only, but winning students (and their teachers) will WIN an immersive space camp experience in Cornwall, and be supported to build confidence, resilience and aspiration.

Be part of history!

Five UK schools will each win places for five lucky students and up to two teaching staff, to take part in an exclusive residential space camp in Cornwall (July 11th -14th 2022), linked to the UK’s first ever satellite launch to space!

All schools who enter will also be invited to take part in a VIP interactive seminar in September where they will meet the inspiring pilots and space engineers behind the historic satellite launch.

Who can enter

Open to all UK schools and aimed at pupils in years 7 and 8, teachers from any discipline can enter JET to Space by answering two simple questions and uploading a #JETtoSpace message from their class or school.

The Jon Egging Trust supports young people in areas of the UK where employment opportunities may be lacking, and where families may face hardship and adversity; the location and demographic of each school will form part of our judging criteria.

When the competition closes on June 8th 2022, winning schools will be supported by JET to select five pupils who meet our eligibility criteria to experience the once-in-a-lifetime residential experience in Cornwall from 11-14th July 2022.
