Blue Skies Level 1 students from Downham Market academy attended RAF Marham in search of inspiration at the start of their Blue Skies journey with the Jon Egging Trust.
The students spent the day with the Tornado pilots to help inspire them to do more with their education. The young people in year 8 toured the barracks learning about the kit and equipment available and the teamwork involved with large-scale military operations. The students were able to gain an insight into what it takes to fly in the RAF and that the nature of planes is not just centred around the pilots, but relies on a much wider team to allow them to do what they do.
The Blue Skies students learn from the RAF personnel what it takes to be part of such integral teams and develop their own skill sets to help their futures after education.
