Level 2 Blue Skies students at RAF Marham

The Blue Skies Level 2 Leadership students got to see RAF Marham from a new perspective today as they took part in a high ropes course exercise with the military personnel.

The students had a morning of class-room based, group exercises to solve as a team. Here they could watch natural leaders emerge as they took part in a mobile team challenge with ‘Budgie’ one of the RAF team who was supporting them on the day.

The students had to work out puzzles and exercises using the strong, positive communication skills they have developed on Blue Skies to complete each task.

Once the morning was complete and the students had lunch, they were then ready to embark on the high ropes course.

The students paired up to see how high they could build a tower of boxes. The current record for RAF Marham is 18 boxes high, however the Jon Egging Trust Level 2’s raised the game, smashing the record to the new height of 24 boxes.

The group then went on to take part in a number of challenges designed to push them outside of their comfort zones high above the ground. Tasks included tackling a series of tightrope climbs and balance exercises whist suspended high up above the ground, having to fully trust the team they were working with to keep them from falling. A great day was had by all, with students facing their fears head on and literally achieving new heights.
