The primary school Ysgol Llanfawr had their first session with JET as a part of the Gallwn / Yes we can project funded by the Armed Forces Covenant. The aim of the session allowed pupils, staff and volunteers a chance to get to know each other.
During the ‘Getting to know you’ session, the pupils played various games which involved sharing information about themselves, working with various partners and developed their speaking and listening skills.
They directed a friend around a simple obstacle course with their eyes closed and completed a fun fact sheet about themselves.
The information shared was used in a simple game to see how much the pupils had learnt about each other. Pupils also learnt that they could communicate in various ways. The pupils were fantastic and demonstrated a lot of enthusiasm in the session.
