Ambiente Tapas names Jon Egging Trust as its Charity of the Month for February

The Jon Egging Trust (‘JET’) are delighted to have been selected as Ambiente Tapas Goodramgate, Charity of the month for February.

The independent business, launched their “Charity of the Month” program in 2016 after being inspired by a local charity campaign. The basic principle of the initiative involves a voluntary contribution of £1 per table to be added to all customers bills. At the end of the month Ambiente tops up the final amount by £500 and the total proceeds are issued to the chosen charity. For the Goodramgate restaurant, this will be JET throughout February.

“We are absolutely delighted to have been selected as the Ambiente Tapas Charity of the month for February. This opportunity will have a huge impact for JET. Not only will it help us raise the vital funds we require to run our youth engagement programmes locally, but it will help us make more people aware of the fantastic work we deliver across Yorkshire.”

JET began working in Yorkshire in 2014, where we supported 15 young people through our Blue Skies programme at York high School. We are proud to have now worked with over 1,200 young people across Yorkshire and over 7,000 nationally, during the Academic Year 2016-17 through both our Blue Skies and Inspirational Outreach programmes.

The Trust relies mainly on donations to maintain its programmes. On average it costs £30 for each child per session, and £1000 for a student to complete all three levels of the Blue Skies Programme (Teamwork, Leadership and Work Experience.)
