York Archers has a long and distinguished history as as one of the oldest clubs still in existence in the UK, dating as far back as 1833.
The club provides a competitive and social environment, and we pride ourselves on our friendly and inclusive culture that supports all levels of archer, from complete beginners to the more experienced.
Our home is at the Hopgrove Playing Fields on the Malton Road, within the outer ring road of the city of York. The site gives us exclusive use of a shooting field that is long enough to shoot Clout distances (180 yards), plus unrestricted access to our shooting ranges in a safe and controlled area, along with a custom-built clubhouse and storage space.
