JET flies high in the West Midlands

Earlier in the term, JET worked in partnership with the Midcounties Co-Operative at the RAF Museum, Cosford, to deliver a fantastic inspiration day for four schools in the West Midlands.

The ‘Flying High’ event, aimed to inspire the next generation and raise aspirations. It was JET’s first session in the region since the pandemic, and students took part in four different sessions aimed at improving networking and communication skills, increasing teamwork and leadership skills via a rocket building challenge, and a debating and problem-solving session to boost confidence, resilience, and communication.

A highlight for the students was being welcomed to the event with a brilliant video from our JET Ambassador and former Red Arrows pilot James McMillan, who is now a professional display pilot with the Blades.

It was fantastic for JET to be back in the West Midlands at a time when our students need support more than ever, and we received incredibly positive feedback both from the participating students, and their teachers.
