JET Celebrates Partnership with BA HighFlight at the BA Flight Ops Summer Festival

JET was delighted to attend the BA Flight Ops Summer Festival, celebrating our valued partnership and engaging with a wide range of British Airways families, supporters and festival visitors.

As one of BA HighFlight’s chosen charities, we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and funding, which helps us create life-changing opportunities for young people through STEM education, skills development and inspirational experiences.

The festival provided a fantastic opportunity to share JET’s mission with a new audience, raise vital funds, and showcase the impact of our work. Visitors of all ages took part in our interactive “Where Will Your Wings Take You?” activity, which invited them to answer a simple question: If nothing was stopping you, what is the one thing you would do?

The response was overwhelmingly positive – from aspirations to become a pilot, write a novel, or travel the world, to many other ambitious dreams and goals, the activity sparked meaningful conversations about ambition, opportunity and potential.

Every feather added to our display served as a powerful reminder of why JET’s work is so important. Across the UK, around one in eight young people aged 16 to 24 are not in education, employment or training (NEET), highlighting the significant barriers that many young people continue to face. Through access to STEM opportunities, enriching experiences and targeted support, JET works to ensure that young people, particularly those facing adversity, have the confidence, skills and opportunities they need to achieve their ambitions.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to share their aspirations with us, and BA Highflight for inviting us to be part of such a memorable and inspiring event. Together, we are helping more young people spread their wings and build brighter futures.
