“I have been involved in the Blue Skies Norfolk programme for nearly a year now and it really is inspirational working with these young people. Blue Skies offers a unique chance for the pupils from Downham Academy to learn from life in the RAF. I am lucky enough to see how the programme benefits them first hand. Throughout the year the students are put in some challenging situations, situations where some adults would struggle, you can see their confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills growing. The programme gives the young people a chance to pick up skills that will really benefit them in the future and inspire them to do whatever they want.”
