D Day at the Tank Museum

D Day at the Tank Museum

A brilliant day at the Tank Museum at Bovington was thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Skies 2 students from Ferndown Upper School on D Day.

We saw tanks that had served in WW2 which was special because it was D Day. It was all the more poignant and lots of questions were asked. We took a moment to remember the soldiers that served. Everyone was lucky enough to get inside a tank which was amazing. There was not a lot of room and we thought how different the conditions would have been when the tank was active.

The challenge for the day was to build our own remote control tanks and get them over an obstacle course in the quickest time.

This was really hard but lots of fun. The girls in Tiger Team won so well done to them.

Thank you to everyone at the Tank Museum and to Dorset Museum Association for funding the trip.
