Cobham Aviation Services is not only supporting the Trust by hosting Blue Skies days, but it has also been a fantastic fundraiser, raising £1,250 from a family fun day.
The family fun day was held on Cobham’s premises at Bournemouth Airport during the Bournemouth Air Festival weekend.
There were fairground rides, live music, food and ice cream stalls as well as classic cars and some of Cobham’s aircraft fleet on display.
Ten of the Cobham employees’ children also formed a ‘mini Red Arrows’ team and enjoyed having photos taken in front of the aircraft.
The Trust’s community fundraiser, Vicki Carswell (pictured right in the photo above) said: “The support we receive from Cobham is invaluable as it gives our Bournemouth Blue Skies students an insight into aviation engineering and how vital teamwork is within this industry.”
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cobham Aviation Services and would like to thank them, both for this cheque and for the outstanding Blue Skies Teamwork day they hosted earlier on in the year.”
