Si spoke about his lack of early education and the impact that it had on his life, to the point of losing everything – his home, family and jobs. But he also spoke about turning a corner and going back to education, bringing home the reality to the students about the cost of living and compared that to employment and skills.

Richard Redwood, Assistant Head at the school said “Si gave an inspirational talk getting our students to think about a different perspective on education, tolerance and the world today.”

Janna, aged 16 said she found the talk very inspiring and Si was funny.”

Bethany, 16, told our JETLO Kaye that she thought it was “very interesting to hear how Si made his way up through what he’d got himself into which was eye opening and makes me want to stick at education while I have it for free.”
