Pupils urged to make the most of their education

Pupils urged to make the most of their education

Si Cleggett, a Project Manager at Wessex Archaeology and great friend to the Jon Egging Trust, joined our JETLO Kaye at Ferndown Upper School and spoke to the year 10 students. Si told the pupils about the struggles in his own life and the mistakes that he had made. Si urged the young people to make the most of their time at school, the only ‘free’ education that they will get. The young people asked some interesting questions, some about archaeology and some personal ones too. Si was happy to answer all of them very candidly.

Speaking after the assembly, the students said how interesting Si made archaeology sound and how they appreciated the honesty about his own life. Deputy Headteacher Nigel Harris said the assembly was brilliant and a real eye opener for the students.
