Level 1 students from St Aldhelm’s Academy in Poole spent a fascinating day at Cobham on Wednesday 28th June 2017. Right from the outset, they were challenged to think about the way in which they communicated. After discussing the different forms of communication, students were set various tasks which made them think about how they communicated with each other. Students found that communication can be very individual and also listeners receive information differently.
After a lovely lunch kindly provided by Cobham, the students had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a Cobham plane. They had talks from two pilots, Rob and Rich who described the work that they do, the aerodynamics of a plane and what it is like to fly these special planes. Sitting in the cockpit the students enjoyed asking excellent questions.
