Year 8 Students at St Mary’s C of E Middle School at Puddletown welcomed Our Dorset JETLO Kaye on Friday and Rob Jelley from IT Support Business, a long time friend of JET.

The young people learned a little about the history of communication before enjoying some active games. Then it was time to settle down again and each group was asked to design some ‘apps’. One was for Senior Citizens to help them do things. It was called Memorite. Another group designed a brilliant aid for ambulance crews and the third group designed Love to Learn, an app for teachers and school children. The session ended with everyone trying to free themselves from rope handcuffs and taking away that the way to change was by being in charge of yourself. Thanks to Rob for his help.

These are words that some of the group said about their JET experiences:
Confidence
Teambuilding
Exciting
Fun
Communication
Collaboration

Abbie Elliott-Square, Learning Mentor said “The students had a wonderful opportunity to work with you and the JET team, and it is evident that they have got a great deal out of the sessions over the past year.”
