Blue Skies Level 1 (Teamwork) students from Downham Market Academy learned about teamwork and the importance of effective communication from RAF personnel from the weapon loading training cell. They learnt how to work effectively under pressure and still use good communication techniques in order to complete tasks. They then used their skills to solve problems and overcome team challenges. This type of lesson is used even at command level of the British Forces to develop their ability to solve problematic situations and review elements in order to achieve their aim.
The students were able to make a plan to resolve a problem involving different pieces of equipment and then review this plan to make it more effective. The session is designed to be fun whilst allowing students the chance to learn and take ownership of their own goals and review these when it does not go to plan.
