Hi, I’m Millie and I’m the Youth Liaison Officer for the Midlands area. I am originally from Herefordshire, but now live in Shropshire with my partner and baby girl. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and have been lucky to work with ages ranging from children in nursery to working in pastoral care with college students throughout my working career. I enjoy going to the theatre, countryside walks and coffee dates with my family.
My work experience and education has enabled me to develop the skills to inspire and motivate young people to thrive in childhood and fulfil their potential throughout the rest of their lives. I have a very good understanding that the experiences young people have, significantly impact and influence their futures. This area of work is something I am very passionate about, which is what drew me to apply for this job within the trust. I am so happy be part of the fantastic team within JET, as I believe the work done by the organisation is vital to help the youth in our society develop socially, emotionally and cognitively.
I will always see the capability and positive qualities that young people possess, and I always endeavour to ensure that they see this part of themselves. I am so excited to work with the fabulous team and young people involved with JET, to enable them the opportunities to enjoy new experiences and be the best they can be!
