Hi, I’m Vicky, the Regional Youth Programmes Manager for the Midlands. Originally from Somerset, I moved to the Midlands in 2013, where I have raised my two children. We love getting outdoors, exploring the beautiful countryside and wildlife in our region. I also enjoy swimming, reading and meeting with family and friends whenever possible!
For many years I have been a primary school teacher and understand fully the need for children to develop the social and emotional aspects of learning in order to achieve success in life. I have dedicated the most recent years of my career to targeting support to some of those most in need of this, for example, those going through adverse childhood experiences, bereavement and those experiencing problems with mental health. I am committed to promoting the wellbeing of our young people and will endeavour to boost the confidence, resilience and self esteem for the students that we work with.
I feel very privileged to be part of the wonderful team here at JET and to play my role in helping to raise the aspirations of the young people in our area. Through delivery of our engaging, meaningful programmes and inspirational outreach, my aim is to bring about positive change in the lives of our students, enabling them to strive for and achieve their fullest potential.
