I’m incredibly proud to be a JET Trustee as there’s nothing that matters more than inspiring and supporting young people to help them reach their full potential.
I’ve worked in PR and communications for over 20 years, gaining experience at leading UK PR agencies before moving in-house, and looking after communications for several leading household brands.
Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to work on a number of exciting sponsorships, charities and community programmes. For example, while heading up PR at npower, for our sponsorship of Test Match Cricket we created ‘Urban Cricket’, an inner-city programme to introduce children to the sport – the equivalent of football’s ‘jumpers for goalposts’. Similarly, for our Football League sponsorship, we developed ‘What’s your Goal?’ – a mentoring programme giving young people the chance to experience a whole range of roles in football – from the lawnsman right through to the manager.
A storyteller at heart, I love working with organisations to help them communicate in a clear and compelling way. JET has the potential to change the lives of so many young people facing adversity – what story could be more important?
