“Yes We Can/Gallwn” thanks to funding from Armed Forces Covenant Fund

JET is delighted to announce funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund (AFCF) to develop a specialist project across North Wales known as “Yes We Can/Gallwn”.

Backing by the AFCF means that JET can now deliver a bespoke initiative to young people from Anglesey as part of our wider Inspirational Outreach Programme. The project will focus on activities that build confidence and team-work skills, and the trust will employ a Welsh speaking member of staff to ensure students are able to converse in their preferred language. Overall, the aim is to raise aspirations and self-belief and give more young people the determination, resilience and resourcefulness to say “Yes We Can/Gallwn”.

JET will be working in partnership with RAF Valley and Canolfan Addysg Y Bont, alongside other schools in the region, to deliver these life-changing opportunities for young people on Anglesey.

Dr Emma Egging, CEO of JET said: “It’s fantastic that we are being supported by the AFCF to help us develop this specific project in North Wales. The students will be given a potentially life changing opportunity to have a range of experiences in a small group that will stimulate them and increase their confidence. The support of the AFCF is vital in achieving our aim of helping as many young people as possible to be the best they can be. Alongside our significant programme development in North Wales, our national goal is to be established in nine regions across the UK and helping 10,000 young people per year by 2020.”
